Story translation exercise-1

किसी जंगल में एक तपश्वी रहते थे! वे बहुत ही दयालु और परोपकारी थे! एक दिन वे एक नदी  में स्नान कर रहे थे!

उसने एक बिच्छू को धारा के साथ बहते हुए देखा! तपस्वी उसे बचाना चाहते थे! उन्होंने उसे पानी से निकालने की कोशिश की! लेकिन दुष्ट बिच्छू ने उसे डंक मार दिया! तपस्वी बहुत दर्द में  थे!  उनका हाथ कांपने लगा था! उन्होंने बिच्छू को पानी में छोड़ दिया! उन्होंने उसे एक बार फिर से निकालने की कोशिश की! लेकिन दुष्ट बिच्छू ने फिर डंक मार दिया! उन्होंने फिर उसे पानी में छोड़ दिया! लेकिन  तुरंत उसे बाहर निकाल लिया! उन्होंने उसे सूखे जमीन पर रख दिया! वे उनकी जान बचाकर खुश थे! उन्होंने अपने तकलीफ पर ध्यान नहीं दिया! दूसरे व्यक्ति जो इस पूरी घटना क्रम को देख रहे थे, तपस्वी को मुर्ख बताया! तपस्वी ने कहा,'' बिच्छू एक छोटा कीड़ा हैं! यह अपने स्व्भाव को नहीं बदल सकता हैं!'' एक बुद्धि-सम्पन्न होने के नाते, दूसरे की भला करना मेरा कर्तव्य हैं!

There lived a hermit in a forest. He was very kind and generous. One day he was taking a bath in a river. He saw a scorpion drifting with the stream. The hermit wanted to save him. He tried to get him out of the water. But the evil scorpion stung him. The hermit was in great pain. His hand was starting to shake. He released the scorpion into the water. He tried to get him out once again. But the evil scorpion stung again. He again dropped him in the water. But immediately took him out. He put him on dry ground. He was happy to save his life. He did not mind his own trouble. The other person who was watching this whole incident,- called the hermit a fool. The hermit said, "The scorpion is a small insect, It cannot change its nature.” Being  rational, it is my duty to do good to others.
