एक बार एक क्रूर शेर एक जंगल में रहता था! उसने बहुत सारे जानवरो को मार कर खा गया! सभी जानवर उससे भयभीत थे! इस समस्या से छुटकारा पाने के लिए उनलोगो ने एक बैठक की! उनलोगो ने शेर के पास रोजाना एक जानवर भेजने का निर्णय लिया ताकि दूसरे जानवर बच जाय! यह फैसला शेर के पास भेजा गया और उसने इसे स्वीकार कर लिया! अगले दिन एक खरगोश शेर के पास गया! उसकी देरी हो गई! भूखा शेर उग्र रूप से इंतज़ार कर रहा था! शेर ने उससे देरी होने का कारण पूछा! खरगोश ने कहा कि एक और शेर था जो उसे खाना चाहता था! उसे खुद को बचाने के लिए शेर पर एक चाल चलना पड़ा! यह सुनकर वह आग-बबूला हो गया और खरगोश को उसे उसके पास ले जाने का आदेश दिया! खरगोश उसे एक गहरे कुएं की तरफ ले गया! उसने कहाँ कि दूसरा शेर कुआं के अंदर रहता हैं! शेर निचे की तरफ देखा और अपने ही प्रतबिम्ब को देखा! उसने सोचा कि यह वही शेर था जिसके बारे में खरगोश ने बताया था! वह जोर से गरजा और उसे उसी की प्रतिध्वनि सुनाई दी! वह गुस्सा हो गया कि दूसरे शेर की उसे जवाब देने की हिम्मत हुई! उसने दूसरे शेर को मारने के लिए कुआँ में छलाँग लगा दिया! खरगोश अपने चाल की कामयाबी पर खुश था! उसने शेर को मार दिया था! अब जंगल में जानवर ख़ुशी-ख़ुशी रह सकते थे!

Once upon a time, a ferocious lion lived in a forest. He killed and ate many animals. All the animals were afraid of him. They held a meeting to get rid of this problem. They decided to send one animal daily to the lion so that the other animals would be saved. This decision was sent to the lion and he accepted it. The next day a hare went to the lion. He was late. The hungry lion was waiting furiously. The lion asked him the reason for the delay. The rabbit said that there was another lion who wanted to eat him. He had to play a trick on the lion to save himself. Hearing this, he was furious and ordered the rabbit to take him to him. The rabbit took him to a deeper well. Where did he find that the other lion lives inside the well. The lion looked down and saw his own image. He thought it was the same lion that the hare had told about. He roared loudly and heard the echo of the same. He got angry that the other lion dared to answer him. He jumped into the well to kill the second lion. The rabbit was delighted at the success of his trick. He had killed the lion. Now the animals could live happily in the forest.
