Tend to का प्रयोग हम तब करते हैं, जब हमें किसी कि आदत, सौभाव या प्रवृत्ति आदि को बताना हो। 

जैसे:-

उसकी प्रवृत्ति/आदत झूठ बोलने की हैं।   

रोहित की प्रवृत्ति/आदत टीवी देखने की हैं।

Affirmative

Sub+tend to/tends to+v1+obj.

Negative

Sub+don't/doesn't+tend to+v1+obj.

Interrogative

Do/Does+sub+tend to+v1+obj?

Negative - interrogative

Do/Does+sub+not+tend to+v1+obj?

Examples of Affirmative

काजल की प्रवृत्ति मोल भाव करने की हैं।

Kajal tends to bargain.

मेरी प्रवृत्ति बच्चो के साथ खेलने कि हैं।

I tend to play with kids.

रोहित कि आदत दूसरो कि आलोचना करने की हैं।

Rohit tends to criticise others.

सुमित का सौभाव बात को बढ़ा चढ़ाकर बोलने की हैं।

Sumit tends to exaggerate the things.

उसका सौभाव हर एक चीज को लेकर उदास होना हैं।
