Here is some basic rules
3rd person singular (He, She,It,Name) helping verb- Is
1st person singular subject ( I) helping verb - Am
With all the rest (We,You,They) helping verb- Are
here are the rules are written.
Affirmative -
Sub + is/am/are + v1 + ing + obj.
Negative-
Sub + is/am/are + not + v1+ ing + obj.
Interrogative-
(Wh) + is/am/are + sub + v1 + ing + obj?
Negative interrogative-
(Wh) + is/am/are + sub + not + v1 + ing + obj?
Here are some examples of the rules:-
Affirmative:-
She is cooking food. (वह खाना बना रही है।)
You are talking. (तुम बाते कर रहे हो।)
We are going to party. (हम पार्टी में जा रहे हैं।
Neeraj is fighting. (नीरज लड़ाई कर रहा हैं।)
We are teaching. (हम पढ़ा रहे हैं।)
Negative:-
She is not cooking food. (वह खाना नहीं बना रही हैं।)
They are not playing. (वे खेल नहीं रहे हैं।)
We are not doing work. (हम काम नहीं कर रहे हैं।)
Reeta is not making him understand. (रीता उसे समझा नहीं रही हैं।)
You are not doing homework. (तुम गृहकार्य नहीं कर रहे हों।)
Interrogative
Is Rahul coming? (क्या राहुल आ रहा हैं?)
Are you crying? (क्या तुम रो रही हो?)
Why is he going? (वह क्यों जा रहा हैं?)
Is Ram playing? (क्या राम खेल रहा हैं?)
What are you doing? (तुम क्या कर रही हो?)
Negative- interrogative
Why is he not going to play? (वह खेलने क्यों नहीं जा रहा हैं?)
Is Ankit not talking? (क्या अंकित बाते नहीं कर रहा हैं?)
Why are you not doing homework this morning?(तुम आज सुबह गृहकार्य क्यों नहीं कर रहे हो?)
Why are you not writing? (आप क्यों नहीं लिख रहे हो?)
Is Poonam not washing clothes? (क्या पूनम कपड़े धो नहीं रही है?)
