Today we are going to learn a very important grammar, which is preposition. In this post we will know that what is a preposition? and how to use it in English grammar while speaking and as well as written also.
What is preposition?
Those are the words which show the relation of a noun and pronoun to other parts of a sentence.
Pre + position = preposition.
"Pre" का अर्थ होता हैं "पहले" और "position" का अर्थ होता है।"स्थान"। वे शब्द हैं जो संज्ञा और सर्वनाम के संबंध को वाक्य के अन्य भागों से दर्शाते हैं।
मतलब जब हमें किसी वस्तु की position (स्थान) बताना हो की वस्तु कहां रखी हैं तो उस स्थिति में हम preposition का प्रयोग करेंगे। इस पोस्ट में हम एक - एक कर सभी preposition को उदाहरण सहित सभी preposition को विस्तार से समझेंगे।

With places (जगह के साथ)
हम बिहार में रहते हैं।
We live in Bihar.
वह इस होटल में काम करता हैं।
He works in this hotel.
सुमित रोज इस पार्क में खेलता हैं।
Sumit plays daily in this park.
पुनीत दिल्ली में काम करता हैं।
Punit works in Delhi.
Except small places ( छोटे जगहों के अलावा)
जैसे:
घर में / पर At house
बस स्टैंड में / पर At bus stand. etc....
In में (inside some object) किसी वस्तु के अंदर।
समीर कंप्यूटर में गेम खेला।

ये गाना तुम्हारे मोबाइल में हैं।
This song is in your mobile.
शीतल ने ये किताब में पढ़ा।
Sheetal read it in the book.

With point of time निश्चित समय के साथ
With small places छोटी जगहों के साथ

वह बस स्टॉप पर खड़ा था।
He was standing at bus.
राहुल एक स्टोर में काम करता हैं।

With night/noon. रात व दोपहर के साथ।
मैं दोपहर में घर पर था।
I was at home in noon.
हम रात में पढ़ते हैं।
We study at night.
बानी रात में हॉस्पिटल गईं।
Bani went to hospital at night.
While telling the cost मूल्य बताते वक्त
यह फल 80रु किलो बिक रहा हैं।
This fruit is selling at rs 80.
कोमल 60 रु किलो प्याज खरीद रही हैं।
Komal is buying onion at rs 60 per kg.
With a festival/event किसी त्योहार या खास अवसर।
मैं होली पर घर आऊंगा।
I will come home at Holi.
करण दिवाली को गांव जाएगा।
Karan will go to village at Diwali.
हम जन्मदिन पर आए थे।
We had come at birthday.
On, के ऊपर, पर
एक object के ऊपर दूसरे object का रखा होना।
पेन टेबल पर रखा हुआ हैं।
Pen is kept on the table.
वह बाईक के ऊपर बैठा हुआ हैं।
He is sitting on the bike.
किताब लैपटॉप के ऊपर थी।
Book was on the laptop.
With date and day समय और दिन बताने के साथ।
सुमीत रविवार को पार्क गया।
Sumit went to park on Sunday.
वो 20 दिसम्बर 2012 को आया था।
He had come on the 20th December 2012.
हम सब सोमवार को आयेंगे।

Upon /onto के ऊपर,पर
एक object का गतिशील(moving) अवस्था में दूसरे object के ऊपर आ जाना।
झाड़ू अपने आप टेबल पर आ गया।
The broom came upon the table by itself.
वो हाथी के ऊपर कूदेगा।
He will jump onto the elephant.
मैं घोड़े के ऊपर कूदा।
I jumped onto the horse.

हम पार्क की ओर जा रहे हैं।

Under के नीचे
किसी के नीचे पर बिना छुए हुए।
राम बिस्तर के नीचे छिपा हुआ हैं।।
Ram is hidden under the bed.
कार्तिक पेड़ के नीचे बैठा हैं।
Karthik is sitting under the tree.
वो पुल के नीचे था।

Beneath / underneath नीचे
किसी के नीचे पर पूरी तरह छूते हुए।
आपका घर मेरे घर के नीचे हैं।
Your house is beneath my house.
पत्र मेंरी किताब के नीचे हैं।
Letter is underneath the my book.
मोबाइल तकिए के नीचे हैं।
Mobile is beneath the pillow.

Among / amongst दो से अधिक के बीच में।
